Last Sat. afternoon with a friend…mini celebration of my graduation/their b-day at Fish Bar.
Salmon tartare, fried codfish sandwich, fried calamari with banana/jalapeno peppers, garlic bread, tots, and oyster shooters….I didn’t touch the shooters.
Oh yeah, the beverages were bourbon and grapefruit juice…perfect for 3pm.
Last night I had 3rd row pit seat tickets to Stevie Nicks, literally 20 ft. from her. I was anxious that maybe her voice would be a little off-given that she’s pretty much been kicking ass for over 30 years. She sounded awesome, and she looked really amazing. In the pit were a lot of loose-cannon crazies trying give her snoopy stuffed animals like it was 1981, suburban trixies who wouldn’t shut the fuck up while she was singing, and asshole townie security guards. I tried to get a couple videos, but the security guys kept threatening to take our phones-even though my p.o.s blackberry doesn’t even have a flash. I thought about taking my actually camera out, but didn’t want it to get confiscated. I should just get an iphone….the resolution is better anyway. I’ll post the videos later. BTW, vintage Stevie…I dies.
